Up and early at the crack of dawn
The roosters are crowing as the pigs let out a yawn.
This is their first holiday in rescue
They don't know what is in store...
Fruits and vegetables, hay and treats
Crackers and biscuits and oh, so much more.
We will fill their dishes, bowls and trays
An overabundance of snacks is on the way.
My friends, you are safe and warm
Your belly and hearts will be full and free from harm
As night falls and you seek shelter to sleep
The straw in the barn will be awaiting, piled so deep.
Curl up and dream and know this is now your life
You will remain free from any pain, struggles or strife.
