When she arrived, she didn’t have a name — just a sticker on her back that read #634.
A number. A barcode. A life overlooked.

She was thin, her ribs visible beneath a dull coat. Her left eye clouded and blind. And beneath her weary frame, she carried a secret — a tiny heartbeat growing inside her.

In a crowded kill pen, she stood silently, waiting for her story to end. But that wasn’t the end — it was the beginning.

Whispering Acres saw her not as a number, but as a soul still fighting for a chance. We stepped forward and said the words that would change her life forever: “She’s coming home.”

When she stepped off the trailer, her head hung low, unsure of where she was. The scent of hay and the gentle voices around her told her this place was different. For the first time in a long time, she was safe.

We call her Sweet Serenity — because that’s what she’s beginning to find here.  But, she is still searching for her forever name.

Her journey to recovery has just begun. She is underweight, anemic, and pregnant. Her road ahead will include months of veterinary care, nutritional support, and close monitoring to ensure both she and her foal are healthy.

$250/month – Full monthly sponsorship for our new mama and her unborn foal which will include access to 24/7 video of her and a text alert when she goes into labor so you can be sure to be a part of it all.
