He couldn’t stand or nurse on his own, so we became his legs, his bottle, his comfort. Day and night, we held him, fed him, and cheered for every tiny milestone. Though his journey has been far from easy, Joey is full of life and spirit—and a testament to the power of love, patience, and second chances.

Today, Joey enjoys gentle sunshine, soft voices, and the company of his goat friends. He may never be like the others—but he is exactly who he was meant to be: a fighter, a miracle, and a cherished soul at Whispering Acres.

A Belgian draft horse with a heart as heavy as her hooves once were, she arrived in poor body condition, suffering from malnutrition and severely neglected feet. Despite her past, Agnes greets every day with quiet dignity and wisdom. She now spends her golden years surrounded by care, comfort, and gentle pasture naps under the sun.
